Beware when wandering the gardens. The flamingos aren’t the only ones who caught the eye of our extraterrestrial friends. This print features a UFO presumably abducting a tourist off of the bridge at Sunken Gardens with flamingos and a local watching the scene play out. The large, pink flowers of the well known Sunken Gardens angel trumpet tree can be seen in the foreground. Part of Kayla Heintz's "St. Pete UFO" series that she started back in 2020!

Kayla Heintz is a full time artist currently living in St. Pete, FL. She has been drawing and painting since she can remember, but lost touch with her creative side for a few years after high school. While working in an herbarium in college, she started drawing botanical illustrations. Her passion for the natural world lead her back to her love for art and it has since helped her through some of the tougher parts of her life.
